Pool Deck on the Disney Dream

When I look back through the photos from our 2017 Disney Cruise, every now and then one of them catches my eye for whatever reason. So here is a somewhat random view from our cruise on the Disney Dream:

Pool Deck on the Disney Dream

As you can see, it was a beautiful evening, even though there were quite a few clouds in the sky. The sun had broken through the somewhat clearing clouds at this point, providing some nice evening light filtered by the clouds.

I was standing under the AquaDuck waterway looking down at the pool, with the FunnelVision screen right to my right for this, in case you need help with your bearings. Because this was in between the dinner seating times, there were not many people in the pool. There were a few more in the chairs behind the pool watching whatever was showing on the large FunnelVision screen, however, but still not that many people.

If you like to ride the AquaDuck without waiting, this was the best time to go, as there was not a line at all. I am assuming it was still open at this time, because if you look closely you can see a couple of the life guard crew members standing at the entrance. But by this time I was too full from our dinner to want to make the trip around the AquaDuck. Besides, I did not want to have to bother with changing clothes to put on my swimsuit. Going down the AquaDuck in my dinner clothes would probably not be a good idea anyway.

If you like to explore the Disney Cruise Line ships without many people around, the dinner seating times are the best time to do that. Most people are either eating dinner or seeing a show in the main theater. Just make sure you don’t accidentally miss your dinner time for the sake of exploring the ship.

Sometimes it is fun to look back at just a single photo and see what memories it brings up. And sometimes it is fun to share those memories with others, like you.

Remember this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously. - 2 Corinthians 9:6

About the photo:

This was one of those photos that I snapped rather quickly, not really knowing if I would use it for anything in the future. I thought it might be a good way to capture the evening atmosphere of the cruise, however, and I think it does that well. As usual, I did a good bit of processing on this one, as I think that enhances it quite a bit. See the before-and-after comparison below to judge for yourself:
