Main Street Station
People come and go near Main Street Station on Main Street USA in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.
I know this shot doesn’t have a really strong focus as far as one main object goes. It really is just a wide shot of the area and the people that were there at the time. But it does remind me of that great Main Street atmosphere, so I like it.

Perhaps instead of Main Street, I should have posted a picture from Fantasyland today. Because at last night’s press event at Walt Disney World, they revealed further details about the plans for the Fantasyland expansion at the Magic Kingdom. Not that I was there. But then, you didn’t have to be - the Disney Parks Blog posted the details and artwork several hours before the event started.
We never seem to spend all that much time in Fantasyland. A ride on It’s A Small World, pizza at Pinocchio’s Village Haus, Mickey’s PhilharMagic, and some shopping. The lines for the Pooh, Snow White, and Dumbo rides are always long. And the line for Peter Pan is always crazy long. And the Mad Tea Party makes me way too dizzy. I like to keep my food in my stomach.
But there will be a new Little Mermaid ride, and that sounds good. As long as the line isn’t crazy long for that one, either. And Snow White’s Scary Adventures is going away, being replaced by a Seven Dwarfs’ mine train ride. Dumbo is doubling capacity, but I still don’t think that’s a big enough draw to get me on it.
Unfortunately, there still isn’t going to be a new 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ride to replace the long-gone ride that I enjoyed before they closed it. Oh well.
