A Grand View at the Grand Floridian at Walt Disney World

A Grand View

A view of the Grand Floridian Resort at Walt Disney World. Plus, a glimpse of Seven Seas Lagoon, a Monorail, and Cinderella Castle, too.

A view of the Grand Floridian Resort at Walt Disney World. Plus, to the left you can see Seven Seas Lagoon, a Monorail, and Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom. Pretty grand, I’d say!

As you might guess, this photo was from our trip back in June of this year, as we were walking to the Grand Floridian from the Magic Kingdom. In fact, this photo was originally supposed to be part of the Wednesday at the Magic Kingdom Resorts part of our 2021 Florida Trip Report. However, it seemed like that part of the trip report was getting to be rather heavy with photos, so I decided to keep a few photos out for later use, like right now.

I have always loved the views from the Grand Floridian where you could also see Cinderella Castle, so I look for those spots whenever we are there. I don’t think I had seen this one before, because we are not usually on this side of the resort. Thanks to the new walkway from the Magic Kingdom for getting us to a different part of the resort!

More to Come

If you are keeping up with the aforementioned 2021 Florida Trip Report, don’t worry. There is still more to come. But it has not all been written yet. So instead of a new trip report post today, as there has been every Tuesday for the last several weeks, you get this photo instead. Hang in there, because more is on the way. And if you have missed any parts or have not started reading yet, now is a good time to catch up!

Bible Verse

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. - Galatians 5:22-23

About the Photo

This photo comes from one of those times when I am happy that I often have my camera ready to go on these trips. As we were walking along, I was easily able to grab my camera and take a quick photo and then keep moving along. I already had my camera on. That does drain the battery sometimes, and so it is good to have a backup battery or two. I also had all of the settings set, mainly because I had already taken some photos along our walk. You can’t always be ready for everything, but it is good to be as prepared as you can.

The final version of the photo that you see here was just a quick edit using one of the presets I had come up with in Luminar AI. I find that using presets like that speeds up the process of getting photos ready for the trip report, and it also gives most of the photos in one part of the report a mostly consistent look. Looking back at it now, I might have gone in and changed a few things, but that is probably just me being my own worst critic. Overall, it is fine just like it turned out here.
