Center Street at Night, and Routines

Center street in the Magic Kingdom at night

Center Street off of Main Street USA is a great place at night. It has the same Victorian atmosphere as the rest of Main Street, including the wonderful lights, but it doesn’t have nearly as many people as the main part of Main Street. And besides that, it also has those neat brick pavers, which must be hard on the feet, judging from the mat on the ground at the back of the silhouette cart.

I had a few minutes out there while some from our group were shopping in Uptown Jewelers, which was right behind me when I shot this, and it was an enjoyable time to be out there. Not too hot, not too crowded, some nice music playing. Nice and relaxing.

About the shot:
A single RAW exposure, processed in Adobe Lightroom. Read more about the photo software and gear I use at the camera gear page.
Camera: Canon EOS 60D
Lens: Sigma 10-20mm

Back in the Routine

Even though school hasn’t started back yet for Jaylin, we are pretty much back into our school year routine. Football practice has been going on for a couple of weeks now, and Laura has been back at school for inservice this week, so the hours have been similar to school hours, even if the actual day hasn’t been.

So from that, my routine has been as follows: Work, football practice, sleep. Repeat. Yes, I do eat in there somewhere. And of course shower. And church on Sunday, as well as Wednesday evening. But that’s about it. We do take turns being the football practice parent, which gives the non-practice parent a bit of time at home some nights, and I have used my home nights for either grass cutting or podcasting. The downside of all that is that we aren’t together nearly as much as what we grew accustomed to over the summer. But that is is just part of it, I guess.

So if you need me for anything, I should be free in late October or early November. Depending on if our team makes the playoffs.
