Boardwalk in the Sun / Observations of the Past Week

Boardwalk in the Sun

Disney’s Boardwalk Resort was seemingly deserted in the afternoon sun. True, it was rather warm out, so that if you were out walking, you could easily work up a sweat. But that made the air conditioned shops seem all the more refreshing.

But then if you did happen to go outside, the lowering sun made for some nice views, too. Such as this one.

Observations of the Past Week

Here are the Observations of the Past Week from Twitter and/or Facebook. Because what would a Past Week be without some Observations?

On the way home tonight I saw an armadillo, a raccoon, and two possums. All alive, believe it or not. (Not used to seeing them all alive like that. Who knew?)

From Jaylin’s football jamboree to the church building for a wedding. Good thing the sound room door locks so I could change. (Change is good, right?)

Maybe I should get some roller skates, so I can roll through the day. And maybe I wouldn’t fall down and look stupid. (Or probably I would.)

Hmm, evidently I don’t have much to say today. I know you are shocked and amazed. (I’m speechless over it, myself.)

Happy Tuesday morning! At least I hope it’s happy. I’m happy. Are you happy? (Happy, happy, happy. I see a theme.)

The Facebook page is calling your name. It’s saying, “Hey (your name), come like me!” (This message brought to you by the Facebook Page.)

On-the-way-home Wildlife Report from this afternoon: a turkey. That is all. Unless you count cows as wildlife. Which I don’t. (Might be different if the cows were out wandering in the road, though.)

From the news: “Justin Bieber, his Ferrari fine after minor crash” Glad to hear about the Ferrari. I was concerned about it, too. (If I had a Ferrari, would it make a news story?)

Evidently, I don’t get quite as excited about college football as some people do. But I still like it. (And I’m happy to see it return. Finally, something worth watching on TV again.)

This message has been brought to you by my growling stomach. I wonder what time it is? (If you answered mealtime, you might be correct. Unless it was snacktime.)

I have the feeling I’m going to sweat a bit at football practice today. Even though I’ll just be sitting in the shade. (Turned out to be a true feeling. Even though I wasn’t using the Force.)

Made it to football practice, and it is every bit as hot as I thought it would be. I love summer! No really, I do. (And I won’t like it at all in another month when we are sitting out there freezing.)

Why is it a Code Orange Ozone Alert? I like oranges. Why can’t it be something I don’t like - maybe a Code Green Bean Ozone Alert? (Those weather people and their crazy names.)

I’m leaving one email unread to remind me to do something. But every time I see it I think, “Oh look, a new message!” (Maybe I should email myself to make me feel bettter.)

Words from the Bible

Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. - James 5:13
