Headed Back to Class
It is that time of year again when everyone goes back to school, including Mobius the Goat.
We have not seen Mobius the Goat around here lately. His last appearance was relaxing by the pool in Florida. So I figured it was a good time to see what he was up to. And like all good “kids” (yes, that is my weak attempt at humor for the day), Mobius is going back to school. Here’s hoping for a great year for everyone starting school, whether it is kindergarten, high school, or even college!
See more of Mobius the Goat and other drawings in Steve’s Sketchbook!
Just in case you are wondering, Mobius the Goat is not an autobiographical character. I have no aspirations at all of going back to school and getting another degree. I did my time. Most of it would even be classified by me as a good experience. But I think I am done with the school thing.
However, that does not mean that I know everything I need to know or that I am finished learning. There is still a whole lot that I don’t know, and I am learning new things almost every day.
I like to learn and to find out new things. But I don’t usually do that in a school setting with tests and exams anymore. I read books, watch videos, talk to others listen to podcasts, and find all sorts of other ways to take in new information. If you aren’t learning, you aren’t growing, even though the rest of the world is growing around you.
Don’t stop learning, even if you aren’t going to school anymore!
Let the wise hear and increase in learning and the one who understands obtain guidance. - Proverbs 1:5
About the Artwork
Once again, I was experimenting with color, light, and shadows, just trying a few subtle, yet different things. Experimenting is part of learning, after all.
The watercolor background might be a little too simple, but that’s okay. Simple is better, sometimes.
And as in the past, this artwork was created using the Procreate app, an iPad, and an Apple Pencil.
